Join us for a relaxing Friday evening and a calming start of your weekend. I’m so excited to collaborate with Vondelgym for this special event, before I return to Cape Town.
While a sound bath might not be what you’d expect at a gym, whether you’re into yoga, weightlifting, or fitness classes, we all recognize the importance of recovery, rest, and relaxation. The Studio at Vondelgym offers a beautifully designed yoga studio with soft ambient lighting and a dark setting, creating an ideal environment for relaxation, rest and recovery.

WHAT IS A SOUND BATH?
A Sound Bath feels like a complete refresh for your body and mind.. It’s an immersive experience where soothing sounds, produced by crystal singing bowls, help release stress and tension, allowing you to reach a deep state of relaxation and calm.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You don’t need to be a yogi or have any previous experience; this session is designed for everyone. You’ll start by getting seated in a comfortable position. We’ll do some guided breathing and light movements to tune into your body. Then, you’ll lie down, using pillows and blankets for added comfort. As I play the crystal singing bowls, the soothing sounds will gradually fill the room, helping you relax and unwind.

A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where you lie down and let the soothing sounds of various instruments wash over you. Despite the name, there's no water involved – you'll be lying on a mat or blanket, not in an actual bath. It's designed to help you unwind and de-stress.

This event is not spiritual. It's all about relaxation.

No experience is needed, and you don't need to be flexible! The yoga portion is seated gentle and suitable for all levels. No poses, just focus on breath and body. The sound bath simply requires you to lie down and enjoy the sounds.

While the yoga will involve some gentle seated movement, it's focused on relaxation rather than a strenuous workout. The goal is to ease your body and mind into a state of calm.

Wear comfortable and warm clothing, and a mat, blanket, pillow to lie on during the sound bath.
(There are some items available in the studio, but not enough).
